Manu93, Brussels’ dj keen fan of the 80′s (new wave-EBM-goth-neofolk-indus-pop) as well as the more contemporary music. Les Saigneurs de la Night is a DJ-collective active for the last 5 years, born in Paris between friends with the aim of staying true to the DIY-ethics of both postpunk & minimal wave 80′s scenes, promoting those sounds (with a balance of cold wave & oldschool EBM in the mix as well) in different regular Parisian venues (Le Klub, La Mécanique Ondulatoire, Le Motel, UDO, among others…) as well as occasionally abroad (Leipzig, Köln, New York…).

Episode 3 - 22/10/2011

DJ’s: Chacha aka Public Relation (Theatro, Vizio, Fifty Five) | Jean & The Master (Never Give Up) – Warm up: Hatecraft

Well known in Brussels, Chacha (aka Public Relation) is our resident dj. In the 80′s, he performed in many famous clubs such as the legendary Theatro in Brussels and others like the Fifty-Five or the Vizio. New wave and 80′s music have no secret for him.

DJ Jean and The Master have been best friends for many years sharing one big passion: their love for Music. Both started their careers as radio DJ’s. The Master in the early 80′s, DJ Jean in the late 80′s and the whole 90′s. As The Master evolved into a record collector, DJ Jean started playing in clubs and bars mixing contemporary music with new wave oldies. In every set you could find some « New Gold Dream », « Love Action » or « Niños del Parque » flawlessly mixed with Daft Punk, Justice or Bob Sinclar. However it took them until 2009 before they started thinking of DJ-ing together (during a Front 242 concert…), as that year marked the 25th anniversary of an infamous party organised by The Master called « Never Give Up New Wave ». The sequel to that party finally came in March 2011, and with their co-operation being a big success, a new edition is planned for the fall of this year.

Expect pure New Wave classics and rare, sought after, dark tracks. The Master will mention Paul Haig as his biggest hero, while DJ Jean got influenced by the young Jim Kerr from 80 to 83.

Hatecraft is a concert and party promoter since 1986. In the early 80′s he fell in love with New Order’s music and soon discovered their earlier project Joy Division and all the post-punk scene. Although he opened his mind to electronic, pop, industrial, gothic and noisy pop music, the 78-84 period remains his favourite one.

Episode 2 – 25/06/2011

Well known in Brussels, Chacha (aka Public Relation) is our new resident dj. In the 80′s, he performed in many famous clubs such as the legendary Theatro in Brussels and others like the Fifty-Five or the Vizio.

Coming from Barcelona, Nullpointer played in Spanish clubs for many years before landing in Belgium, country of his favourite bands (Front 242, Neon Judgement, Snow Red…). His style varies between guitar wave and ebm.

Peter, the incredible singer of Red Zebra (I can’t live in a living room !) will play a special warm up set. Don’t miss him, arrive early !
